Our standard
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, the standard used by the State of Minnesota. That means we work to make sure this site:
- Can be navigated with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus indicator.
- Works with screen readers, with descriptive text for meaningful images.
- Uses text and color combinations with sufficient contrast.
- Can be enlarged up to 200 percent without losing content or function.
- Respects your device’s reduced-motion setting.
- Uses clear headings and labels so pages and forms are easy to understand.
Ongoing work
Accessibility is an ongoing effort. We test this site with automated tools and by hand, and we fix issues as we find them. Some content, such as documents and videos from other sources, may not yet fully meet our standard.
